Dear Floyd,
Thank you for your request. This is an armchair probably made in the late 19th century. The covering is later added and damaged. The wooden parts are made out of mahogany wood. This type of armchair was very common in the second half of the 19th century and also the first half of the 20th century.
An estimation would be between 50 to 120 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
My request was prompted by repeated offers to by locally, one for 2yrs. I was suspect of their assessment. The cotton is visible, one ask that i strip it. Finally, an exact copy of this chair can be found at 1stdibs.com, Queen Anne mahogany Wingback Chair. FYI
