Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
I did not see the other two signatures in the figural fields but now see them and have added that to the description.
The auction market for Quimper pottery - of any vintage - is quite soft at the moment. I think your vases are lovely and would not be surprised if they sold for more than the $150-250 value I appraised them for but it would be irresponsible of me to give you an inflated valuation. Here are some recent sales of pairs of Henriot Quimper vases - it's important to note the estimates not just the final results:
https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/henriot-a-quimper-248-c-69344d3896 (sold for €100 against an estimate of €100-120 just the other day)
https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/french-henriot-quimper-faience-pottery-vases-910-c-69a4831b9b (estimate $60-80, sold for $550 in 2017)
https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/2-french-henriot-quimper-faience-handled-vases-909-c-4514ef3bc1 (estimate $80-150, sold for $475 in 2017)
If you provide me with links to the prices you are finding, I am happy to take a look and reassess if warranted.
Sorry for the delay in reply.
I am questioning the value you have attributed to this item for the following reasons;
This item is signed in three (3) places.
Although I have scoured the Internet on many occasions, nowhere do I see comparable pieces. I see plenty of Henriot Quimper tin glazed Faience wares, but NONE that are in anyway comparable.
I ask that you provide a reassessment & proof of comparable items that would support your valuation.
Regards,
Gioia Ross
