So this dress has no brand tag. The only tags are three small tags layered on each other (6, 100% Silk, Dry Clean Only). The top layer is a red mesh silk. It has an attached neck scarf in the back that seems to go over the head. It is a sweetheart neckline with a draped piece of mesh lining it. A ruffle goes down the dress. It starts in the back on the dress at the start of the zipper. It then wraps to the front showing to the front of the dress at hip height. The ruffles diagonally cross the front going towards the back of the dress around knee height then finishing the ruffle all the way to the floor. The lining of the dress is a navy blue silk and at the top is a corset. The corset is only attached at the top. The bottom is not sewn into the dress. The corset itself has its own zipper. To note the zipper does not go straight up and down. Instead it goes diagonally with the flow of the ruffle. It is strapless and has two inner strings for it to hang

Hi Michelle,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Unattributed clothing rarely has the same valuation as ones that are labeled, by the couturier. I've seen some similar ones that have sold at auction; all of them have brought fair-market prices less than $100, though dealers might ask a slightly higher price and if you're selling this privately, I would ask a bit more than $100.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Vintage Burgundy Silk strapless dress
unattributed maker, late 20th Century
The bodice with ruched sweetheart bustline and corset bodice and blue silk lining, with asymmetrical layered waist, with diagonal zipper. With tags reading "Dry Clean Only", "100% Silk" and the size "6".

CONDITION: This appears to be in very good condition.
PROVENANCE: Acquired at a second-hand store

Hi Delia!
The blue is the silk underneath. So the picture of the blue is the dress inside out
Thank you!
