Hi Kevin,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I've valued this on the number of chairs I can see in the photos; if there are more please let me know as that may impact the value. I'm also happy to include the heights of both table and chairs if you want to forward those in a comment below.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Elizabethan style mahogany or walnut dining table and chairs
made by Rockford Furniture Co., Rockford, Ill., early/mid 20th Century
Retailed by the JC Rung Furniture Co., Black Rock, NY
The table with canted corners and molded edge raised on urnform supports with trestle bases and arched shaped stretcher.
The chairs (5 side chairs, 2 arm chairs) with shaped pierced back, trapezoidal slip seats and bulbous turned legs joined by an arched shaped stretcher.
Table: (height), length extends to 8 feet with two leaves, depth 43 inches
Chairs: (height), (width across arms)
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; value assumes some wear commensurate to age and use
PROVENANCE: acquired at auction
Table: $1,200-1,800*
Chairs: $700-1,000*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
The photo of the label suggests that this table was made by the Rockford Furn Co. but sold by/retailed at the JC Rung Furniture Company in Black Rock, NY. I've added that to the description.
