I really don’t know anything about it other than it’s an antique rocking chair that I bought in Rhode Island in the mid 1990’s. I haven’t really been able to find anything too similar on the internet.

Rocking chairs are increasingly difficult sellers at auction and have to be priced fairly low to sell. One such as this, which is fairly plain, is also extremely difficult to assign a regional attribution as they were made in this style from the late 19th through 20th century in America, England and Europe.

American or European, probably early 20th century
Provenance: acquired in Rhode Island in the 1990s
