The rocking chair was given to me by my brothers godmother, Renata BELICA. She said it’s over a 100 years old. Solid wood. Damaged leg at the bottom. I have wood piece to glue back on. It has what looks like a stencil painted floral designs. Overall good condition

Hi Christina
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The Rocking Chair is a furniture form that epitomizes the Early American experience; however, these were made in such large quantities that they have only very nominal values these days, usually not more than $150 at auction.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage painted and stencil decorated rocking armchair
American, early-mid 20th Century
The shaped tablet crest with stencil decoration over four shaped knife-blade spindles between turned stiles, the curving scroll-end arms raised on turned supports, over a shaped seat on ring-turned legs joined by a box stretcher, on rockers. Presumably unsigned.
Height: 48 inches; Width: 25 inches; length of rockers: 33 inches
CONDITION: This chair appears to be in good condition with minor wear commensurate to age and use.
PROVENANCE: gift from brother's godmother
$ 100-150*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.

It looks like a Nichols & Stone harvest chair. Am I correct? I saw 1 on Etsy
Hi Christina,
Can you please send me the Etsy link? I've looked and don't see one similar but maybe I'm not looking in the right place...
Thanks,
Delia
Hi Delia. I have other items on my page for appraisal. I will be adding a few more older items. Also, I’m unsure of how Mearto helps me sell the item. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you.
