8" diameter by 4" height round bowl. Royal doulton England # 6829. Looks like hand turned on a potters wheel. Light brown with light green to almost blue on the outside with etched dark brown ivy leaves. On the inside it is mainly different tones of brown and etched with other dark brown leaves. It looks as though leaves were imprinted in the clay and then removed.

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an early 20th century Royal Doulton natural foliage ( here: Ivy ) range bowl or vase. This idea was first introduced in 1883 by Doulton. These vases were hand decorated by pressing leaves into the soft clay. The leaves are then completely burnt away in the kiln leaving the impressions as decoration. In a second stage coloured glazes were applied and fired in the kiln. The estimate is based on similar items sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to this item. Happy New Year!
