I have a 8 x 11 rug which I believe is hand made. I am trying to get it valued to see if worth having cleaned and repaired. There is a hand written number on the back in a corner , The fringe seems to be integral to the carpet and not sewn on.

Hi Colin,
Thank you for the additional photos.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage hand-knotted wool Kashan 'garden' carpet
Persia/Iran, first half 20th Century
In an overall palette of cream and brown, with a densely-filled center field and small spandrels within a stylized border and fringe selvedges.
8 by 11 feet
CONDITION: minor wear commensurate with age; could use a good cleaning and some possible edge repairs that do not devalue this.
$800-1,200*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
I hope you received the new pics

Thanks very much for the additional photos, Colin. The number on the back might be an inventory number but without any information about where you got this rug, it's impossible to glean much from it.
The condition of the carpet is acceptable and the value is based on its current condition. It could certainly benefit from a cleaning (probably a few hundred dollars at most); If the edge wear is unsightly you can certainly have it repaired but if you are considering selling it, I would not recommend putting much into repairs as antique and vintage rug buyers tend to want to see things in "as is" condition and are occasionally put off by new repairs.
I hope this is helpful; let me know if you have additional questions, concerns, etc.
Here are the pictures as requested
