Manufactured by using woodworm infested walnut wood, with embossed gilding. This is a christian devotional wall decoration, most likely produced in the 1960s or 1970s during a time when antique icons were in demand and collectors were willing to pay high prices. As it was made to deceive the buyer it has to be called a fake of only decorative value. Similar vintage St. Francis crosses sell in the 20 to 40 USD range. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
