I believe it is Russian military. It belonged to my grandfather, who fought in WW2. There are stamps on the blade, and the sword comes with a sheath.

The presented object appears to be a Russian Soviet M1927 shashka sword. This piece is dated 1928 and has acceptance and proof stamps. It comes with the scabbard.
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
