This looks to have a bird creature on one end and a dragon creature on the other. Or maybe it is 2 birds. It is a heavy Jade or ancient stone S-shaped carving with etchings. There is a surface crack around the center of the top C shape, but it appears to have been repaired well.

Hello, this item is an S-shaped carved stone plaque depicting stylized zoomorphic forms, likely inspired by archaic Chinese jade biomorphic motifs such as intertwined dragons or bird-dragon hybrids. The overall form, surface decoration with shallow incised patterns, and the presence of drilled suspension holes suggest it is intended as a decorative or wall mounted object referencing ancient ritual jade carvings from the Hongshan or Zhou cultural sphere. However, the surface texture, coloration, and carving style indicate this is not ancient jade but a modern decorative stone carving, likely produced in the late 20th or early 21st century for the decorative or tourist market. The artificially induced patina, uniform incision work, and visible repaired crack further support a contemporary production rather than an excavated or genuinely aged artifact.
From a market standpoint, pieces of this type are commonly sold as decorative reproductions or interpretations of archaic Chinese forms and do not carry the value associated with authentic ancient jade carvings. Value is therefore based on size, aesthetic appeal, and condition rather than historical significance. Comparable examples typically trade in the range of $80 to $200 USD in the secondary market.
