The sword does not have a maker logo. It has a couple initials on the scabbard (letter Zche, and I, in Russian language). It was appraised in January 1990 by A-R-M Appraisal services in Columbus Ohio as a (Saber, Russian Cossack w/ case, silver inlay, Damascus steel, named, 19th Century. and value of $4200.00) The saber is in a good condition, the scabbard has some discoloration, but also in a good condition. The steel that saber was made looks like Damascus steel . The saber is 39" long.

The presented object appears to be a sword or Shashka made in Russia or from the Caucasus region. It has Cyrillic letters inscribed on the top of the scabbard.
It has probably silver mountings and was made in the 19th or first half of the 20th century. This piece has an outstanding quality.
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 2500 to 5000 USD.
