This is a 7' high bronze statue of Sagagawea. The waiste is about 36 inches. It weighs about 300 pounds. It was created by Jonathan Johnson from Montana.
I bought it from a dealer that closed his gallery business in Billings Montana. He bought it directly from the artist.
Dear Steve,
Thank you for your request. The presented object is a bronze sculpture with the measurements of 7 feet high. It depicts a standing woman and shows the Native American Sacagawea, who helped the Lewis and Clark Expedition in achieving their chartered mission objectives by exploring the Louisiana Territory in 1804 to 1806. The bronze is signed and has the edition of 1/5 pieces. The artist Jonathan Johnson is not represented in the secondary auction market. This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An base auction estimation would be between 7.500 to 15.000 USD. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
