This is a Samuel Danforth Pewter Beaker with the touchmark of Samuel Danforth that matches the maker's mark. It is just over 5 1/8" tall and in very good condition.
I purchased this over 25 years ago at a dealer in Indiana for $650.00 at that time. It bears the Samuel Danforth makers mark on the bottom of the beaker which is in keeping with his known makers mark.
Dear Gregory,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a Samuel Danforth Pewter tin beaker with a maker mark and a touchmark (Samuel Danforth, Hartford, Connecticut, 1795-1816).
Works by this maker were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
