I believe it's signed by "C Sanchez", in 1955. However, I'd need to remove the frame to see the exact lettering. The painting is 29.5 inches L and 35.5 inches W.
Inherited from my grandmother
Good morning, Mercedes,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This appears to be the work of Carla Sanchez (mid 20th century), who painted still life pictures but who has had very few works sell at auction.
Based on the few recent auction prices, the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
Carla Sanchez (Mexican-American, mid 20th century)
Still life with fruits, vegetables and kitchen implements, circa 1955
oil on canvas or Masonite
29.5 inches high and 35.5 inches wide
Provenance: inherited from grandmother
$150-250 (represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary).
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.

ok, thank you. Last question- do you know where Carla, the painter, is from?
Mexican born, lived in the United States. I will amend the appraisal.
Thank you...last question. On the report it says the estimate is $250-$250. Could you edit this?
I entered $150-250 in again; not sure why it showed as $250-250. If it still does please let me know and I'll have our IT dept fix it.
Thank you. Do you know where Carla is from?
