It is a satin silk bowl in excellent condition. It was inherited by my father. I believe it is signed by the artist on the bottom.

The signature on the bottom doesn't match any of the known makers of satin velvet glass, which was made by several companies.

An antique late Victorian or Edwardian satin velvet Art Glass bowl
American or English, late 19th or early 20th Century
Of circular section with ruffled rim, in cranberry with yellow rim, indecipherable graphite inscription below.
10-1/2 inches diameter
CONDITION: This bowl appears to be in good condition with minor abrasions to the bottom; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
