H 11" W - top 6.5 "; bottom 3.5" hand blown glass; heavy
unknown
Good morning, Beth,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The market for glass is quite soft at the moment, particularly for unmarked/unattributed pieces. This probably has some heft/weight to it, and the graduated smoke color is a rather unusual touch..
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An American inverted baluster leaded glass vase
20th Century
with scalloped rim, pinched waist and flaring foot; graduated brown coloring fades as it moves up from the foot.
11 inches high, greatest diameter 6 1/2 inches (at top)
CONDITION: not examined in person but appears to be intact with normal occlusions (air bubbles) and no evidence of breaks, chips or losses.
$40-60*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
