What does this mean?

Dear Annie,

Thank you for your request. The presented object is a basket with the measurements of 15 x 11.5 inches. It consists out of two plaited baskets in free forms fixed on wood. This basket was made in the context Japanese "Ikebana", the art of flower arrangements. The type imitates birds nests and the lower basket was used as a cachepot for the vase which holds the flowers. This Ikebana basket was made in Japan in the 20th century.
An estimation would be between 150 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

With best regards,
Georg
