Appeals to be made of low fired clay.

Dear Graham,
Thank you for choosing Mearto with your online appraisal.
Based on the images and available information, this item is:
An anthropomorphic seated figure most likely from the Central Mexican Plateau. Modeled clay (low clay figure), smoothed, grooved, punched and pinched. Based on designs, this is most likely from Línea Vieja culture 14th century DC, approx, but it is very difficult to assure without any additional document or proof.
Very good condition.

Hello Graham.
That is impossible to assure. This statue resembles to nothing I have seen before, but that does not indicate automatically that is not genuine. I’m afraid without any additional documentation or proof there is not much to do.
Thank you for your appraisal. Just to clarify that your expert opinion is that this is genuine artifact and no a fake? Without documentation what are the options and issues with resale? Tks, Graham T
