What does this mean?

This is a vintage 20th century original painting from about 1950 - 1960 that is executed in the Mid-Century Modern style and depicts tall ships at sea within a hand carved wood frame from Mexico It is signed J. Barry on the front and notated J. Barry on the backside along with the artist's address in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Checking against all listed artists with the first initial J (also checked against first initial F) and last name Barry, there was not a stylistic or signature match to a listed artist in this timeframe. Thus this is a decorator work by an unlisted artist. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
