Hello Anne,

I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,

Considering the photographs, overall pattern, glass quality and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Blown Murano Glass Stallion. The piece dates back to the year 1999, 14th of December. The piece was produced by the Vetreria Murano Arte, a known company and atelier in Murano Island. The piece was characterized mostly with a single colour, black. The piece's mane is enhanced by use of golden particules. The stallion is depicted in a rearing moment, and is quite very imposing. The piece's tail, mane and ears are made in a more transparent tone of black, a very dark and transparent grey to be specific. The piece is hand blown by the master Giorgio Giuman of Murano. Giuman is known for his animal figures, and it is possible to find some other famously produced animal sculptures by him sold at auctions. The piece was purchased for the equivalent of 2.737 Euro's at the time corresponding to 5.300 Italian Liret. The current owner is the first owner of the piece and the stallion was commisioned by her. The face and the mouth area of the piece is executed in high precision and quality, which is one of the most important feature of high-end pieces in this category. It is a high quality, authentic Murano piece. The piece is in good condition without any visible problems.

Entirely hand blown Murano Glass.

Dimensions: 20 Inches High

Condition: The piece is in good condition without any visible problems.

Provenance: Purchased by the current owner back in 1999, Murano, Italy.

1800-2500$.

Please don’t hesitate to reach us again for more online appraisals on your precious items, thank you for choosing Mearto.

The sculpture is in storage in another town from where I currently am. I will be at the storage facility the week of June 24 and will unwrap the stallion and take quite a few more (and better) photos of the sculpture along with the signature of the glass artist. Thank you for your patience! Anne

p.s. I had previously neglected to include a photo of the guarantee itself and only sent a pic of thee envelope! So sorry or that oversight. I have just added the actual guarantee of authenticity to my pictures. But I will do as I promised and send more photos when I get back to the storage facility. Thanks.
