Singer Sewing Machine Hand Crank, model S1285787 (1907 year) complete with lock box Very good condition, box lid in okay condition In working order.
Hi Hannah,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
So few people use sewing machines these days that the market is somewhat flooded by them; with considerably less demand than supply, prices remain modest with most models by Singer - the gold-standard in sewing machines - bring less than $200. Ones that are not built into tables and retain their original domed cases - yours meets both of these criteria - are worth more: $400-500. (You may be interested to know that the record price for a sewing machine by any maker is $41,000, realized for a Singer example that also doubled as a grandfather clock, see here: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/50643796_monumental-unique-singer-sewing-co-bronze-master-clock)
If you'd like your appraisal to include dimensions, which is customary, please send me the height, width and depth of the box and I'll update ASAP.
