Singer treadle sewing machine in good condition. I believe it still works. See photos below.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
According to the serial number JB268524 and this website (https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-j-series-serial-numbers.html), your machine was built between January and June, 1904, making it an antique (which must be 100 years or older).
So few people use sewing machines these days that the market is somewhat flooded by them. With considerably less demand than supply, prices remain modest with most models by Singer - the gold-standard in sewing machines - bringing less than $200. Ones that are not built into tables and retain their original domed cases are worth a little more: $300-400 (mostly because the table-mounted ones take up a lot of space).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique gilt stencil and ebonized pedal-powered Singer sewing machine
Serial number JB268524, made in early 1904,
The black painted iron machine with gilt stencil decoration mounted in an oak table with drawers to house sewing implements (thread, needles, rags), with iron base and treadle-form foot pedal.
CONDITION: This sewing machine appears to be in generally good condition.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$100-200*
