Yellow Slipper Shoe with flowers painted on top in an arrangement. Dimensions 17cms X 7cms. Has numbers "72089" and "3" and possibly "50" inscribed on base.
Family valuable passed to me by my mother in 2004. Purchased by my father around 1950 or earlier.
This is an antique molded porcelain decorative slipper shoe figure that would have likely been produced in Germany around 1890. The porcelain is glazed and then decorated with hombre airbrush and applied floral decoration with hand embellished coloring. The numbers correlate to the mold form shape though they cannot be traced to a particular maker. The estimate is based on actual recent past auction sales.
