Small Bear Sculpture Signed P. Tourgueneff
This small bronze of a bear is signed P Tourgueneff and mounted to a marble base. It measures 8 inches by 4 inches by 6.5 inches high, and is in excellent condition except for a small chip on the edge of the marble base.

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The item presented appears to be bronze sculpture a grizzly bear by Pierre Nicolas Tourgueneff (France/Russian Federation, 1854 - 1912). Most of his works were published by the Susse Freres foundry in Paris. If your object is marked "Susse Freres," please let me know as that may effect the estimate. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this work and other comparable bronzes by Tourgueneff lacking the foundry seal. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary.
