My sister and I found this small statue amongst our father's possessions after he passed away. Neither of us had ever seen it before and we have no idea how, when or where he may have acquired it. The only information he left us was basically just to say that it was "a small roman bronze of 2 people in bed and it might be very valuable or not". We were unable to identify any sort of markings on the piece but it is quite heavy for it's size. I will note that our father was a photographer for archeological excavations in and around Utrecht, a city well known for having been built on top of a Roman camp, and in Sicily while working at Utrecht University, as well as in Israel at an excavation by Duke University's Dept. of Religion. That is to say, he was versed in antiquities.
