These were small chalk like toys my mother had in 1923-1933 in Texas.

These appear to be japanese 1930s all bisque porcelain character dolls, possibly inspired by characters of the funny pages, once cold painted, most of the paint is now worn off. The pair of celluloide african children dolls should date also to the 1920s to 1930s. Such dolls were very inexpensive then and mass produced. The value hasn´t much changed through the years, similar lots sell in the price range listed, There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
