Dear Scott,
Thank you for your request and patience. This is a sculpture of the Archangel Michael defeating the evil in the personification of a dragon. The sculpture is carved in wood and painted. The sculpture shows the stylistics of the Cusco School. This artistic tradition was based in Peru and developed from the 16th to the 18th century, but also used in later centuries. Especially the colorful and elaborated dresses and details like the hat with the feathers are typical for the Cusco School. This carved sculpture is probably made in the 19th or 20th century.
An estimation would be between 800 and 1500 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
I just sent two more photos.
