in the Imari palette, early 20th Century, comprising:
10 cups, 11 saucers
lacking covers (lids)
PROVENANCE: acquired from a local lady

A Crown Staffordshire porcelain caudle cup (lacking cover and saucer)

That’s actually 10 cups and saucers + 1 crown staffordshire cup in Imari pattern as replacement? With Swansea trident saucer.Not sure if there were ever lids, though. Is that per piece or as a set?
Its for the set and I’ve changed the number and value accordingly. Caudle cups - by definition - should have lids.
I’m not sure that they are caudle cups, I just assumed that with the double handles.. but thank you so much, with you expertise☺️
Anytime - happy to help! The only other two-handled bowl/cup are soups and are larger. Caudle or posset cups would have two handles and lids. Sometimes those just get lost - it happens.
