Dear Tammy ,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please upload a few better images where all of the table is visible?
Thanks
Thank you for the additional pictures - do you think perhaps you have a picture where the whole table is visible from a short distance?
Thanks
it pretty tall so i did add a couple pictures... the are not great but it's about as good as i can get for the whole piece
Thank you for the additional photos.
It is a beautiful rococo style antique cupboard. The handpainted italian scenery is very decorative and makes the cupboard special. Such painted rococostyle cupboards are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
It could very well be Italian or perhaps French as both countries had the same style in the mid to late 1800s when I believe your cupboard was made. The mountings looks as if they are cast brass or bronze which was typical for this period and for this type of furniture. They may also have been guilted however that is hard to tell from the photos. The same goes for the small metal fence at the back of the cupboard's top. The shape is a typical Bombé shape with high elegant cabriole legs.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online furniture auction, where I believe the cupboard has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely cupboard.
Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
