Tad Ping Chinese antique rug
Hand made in Hong Kong. Tas Ping. Pure 100% virgin wool pile. Very thick and bright blue colors. Dielmoth moth proofed. 5’11” x 48”. I believe it is over 60 years old. Also have 2 other smaller blue atlas Ping Rugs. Front of rug is beautiful. Back of rug binding is coming apart as in picture.
Owned by an elderly aunt who passed away many years ago. Her husband was in military and they traveled the world and lived at one time in China

Oval cream-ground field with two dragons, on a bright blue ground with auspicious decorative motifs in the corners.

CONDITION: wear appears to be commensurate with age and use
PROVENANCE: inherited from aunt/uncle who may have acquired this in China after WWII
