What does this mean?

This is a 20th century printing of one of the first drafts of the poem Man with a Hoe by Edward Markham. The poem was first published in 1899. The image on the sheet is a color printed reproduction of Jean Millet's painting of the same name that is now housed in the Getty Museum Collection. The image of the painting was taken using kodachrome technology and published for Life magazine; the magazine was started in 1936 and kodachrome technology was introduced in 1935. This is not an actual hand written document and it was created decades after the poem was first published.
