The presented object is a painting made in oil paint on canvas with the measurements of 22 x 20 inches. This painting depicts a picnic in the middle of a wide landscape. In the right corner, we see the signature Van Gorder. On the reverse side, we see a paper label of the Knoke Galleries which names the artist and the title "The Picnic".
Luther Emerson VAN GORDER (1861-1931) mainly depicted scenes from the countryside. Last years the hammer prices for this artist were lower in comparison to the last decade.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
