This is a vintage, 20th century, about 1930s - 1950's, 4 drawer dresser or chest of drawers with mirror top and carved fretwork crest and apron base that was produced by the White Furniture Co. The wood appears in the image to be cherry and the piece is made in the Sheraton Revival style. The original foil label states that this was also coated in Duco by Dupont. The White Furniture Company was founded in Mebane, North Carolina in 1881 by two brothers, William E. and David A. White under a few different names until 1899 when they were formally known as The White Furniture Co. They were purchased by Hickory White Furniture Co (no relation) in 1985 and they closed the Mebane Plant in 1993. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
