I am also wondering if you are the appraiser working on my celadon pomegranate vase. I submitted it a week or so ago and no answer yet. I thought maybe only European objects were the house specialty, but I see you know everything about the two vases. What would you say is the house specialty or areas of concentration? I see that the celadon pomegranate vase has been valued - looks like another appraiser did it- if you still dont see the value on it please let me know.
There are certainly similarities between your vase and the one on 1stDibs (see my reasoning on the lamp in the other inquiry you sent me a link to) - your vase was made for export whereas the vase on 1stDibs was made for the Chinese market (the finer pieces would have been kept in China whereas pieces of inferior quality would have been sold abroad where collectors at the time would not have known the difference. Does that make sense?
