The three cups appear to be Japanese and hand painted. On one side there is a ship at sea, and the other side shows a captain with a telescope. There is a hallmark underneath, and the cups measure 3.75 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide.

Thanks - much better. I'm not recognizing this - do you mind if I send the photos to a native Chinese speaker?
Hello Delia:
I have finally added two sharper images of the mark underneath the three cups. Finally.
Thanks,
Rhonda
Thanks Rhonda,
My friend was able to answer fairly quickly on the inscription - its a Mandarin inscription reading Yi Feng, which she says is a private name and refers to either the potter or studio; unfortunately, there is no information on that potter/pottery in any of the online databases I have access to.
Hi Delia:
I added two improved images of the mark.
Thanks,
Rhonda
