What you have here is a home altar from India made in second half 20th century. I believe its made for export and for decorative use. This is, in my opinion, not an item made for religious purposes. The object is hand carved and also had painted. I believe if you brought this object to a salesroom or auction you would expect to fetch a price around the estimate for it.
