Tobacco Store Wood Carved Standing Indian 54 Inches Tall
Hand wood carved tobacco store type painted Indian figure. Resembles the famous Indian "Sitting Bull" as an image of Sitting Bull was found online that matched the the paint scheme and the crossed arms that the Indian was carved to represent. Does appear to be rather old, as the wood has several cracks, and this is normal for these carvings to develop cracks over time. Indian Stands 54 inches tall, and is about 11 inches in width, it weighs about 30-40lbs.
Previous owner purchased ten years ago from an antique store in West Virginia. Does not have any markings, signatures, or engravings that can be found.
