Hi Barbara,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
“Malley" porcelain is not a well-known historical factory or established porcelain brand like Limoges, Meissen, or Sevres. In most cases, when “Malley” appears in connection with ceramics or porcelain, it points to an individual artist or a small studio, not a major manufacturer.
I've found a few other pieces of similar pink rose pattern also signed "Malley" but none have brought more than $20 or $30 at auction; I would expect this to perform similarly if given the opportunity.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Malley hand-painted porcelain trinket or dressing table box
probably American, second half 20th Century
Of rounded rectangular form with lift-top lid and scrolled feet, decorated allover in pink roses with green leaves, signed underneath.
Height: 2-3/4 inches; length: 7-1/4 inches; depth: 4 inches
CONDITION: this appears to be in very good condition.
PROVENANCE: unknown
$20-30*
