12x16" painting or print of painting, some texture - lattice of small cracks, painting is of 2 children sleeping together on a bed. Artist signature on lower left is illegible. Art is mounted on rigid material that is black on sides and back. Displayed in old, ornate, gilded gold frame.
I got it at a charity fund raising sale and have no idea where it came from or any other history. I have been able to find any information on line.
This is a framed image of two putti or cherubs sleeping. Though it appears like an original painting, this is a printed image, mounted on wood which was then painted over with a surface varnish to appear like an original painting. The signature appears to have possibly been added on over the varnish and has since faded and become illegible. This is a 20th century framed decorative wall art piece that was possibly produced in China and exported. The estimate is based on actual recent past auction sales of comparables.
