Good morning, Naser,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please confirm how tall this is? Do you have one or two? How many lights does it have at the top?
Thanks,
Delia
Thanks, Naser!
These look like they have some age to them, though they certainly could have been made in the 20th Century; regardless they are very impressive looking. If you can prove the Saudi royal provenance that would increase the value but I've estimated these without it so you have a baseline value and based on other comparable torcheres.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, you have:
A pair of Louis XVI style carved giltwood and gilt metal 11-light torcheres
Late 19th Century
each 90 1/2 inches (230 cm) tall
PROVENANCE: purportedly once owned (made?) for a Saudi prince
$5,000-8,000*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.
thank you for your valuable appraisal. is the estimate for the pair?
Yes, for the pair; if they were sold individually, the best estimate would be $2,500-4,000
