It is an old canvas painting. You can feel the paint, the surface is not smooth. There are several small bumps in the paint and even some that look like small cracks. I do not know the painter, but his signature is something like "Pb Geis" or "Ph Geis" or "Gels" and seems to be made in "1937" - the year is also unclear. The frame is wooden and feels very old. The painting seems to have been auctioned before as there is a stamp on the wooden frame and a number (62). The stamp however is not readable as it seems to have been auctioned a long time ago. Width: 58.5 cm / Height 37.5.
We have a small business of buying furniture and other household items from the West and selling them in Romania. This painting been bought from Germany, together with other pieces of furniture from a house, after the owner's death. I have no information regarding it being exhibited.
