What does this mean?

Hi Adam,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The feature of the face in the neck is characteristic of the Narino people (Colombia, 800-1500 AD)
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Pre-Columbian style earthenware vessel
Possibly Narino, possibly of the period
The ovoid body with flaring neck modeled with a face, apparently unmarked
6 inches tall
CONDITION: appears to be in generally good condition with wear commensurate to age.
PROVENANCE: inherited
$300-500*
