This is a late 20th century to contemporary original 12" x 16" painting on canvas by an American Texas Native painter, Randy Peyton (b. 1958). He is known for landscape, figure and architecture paintings and he paints scenes in both Texas and through Italy. This is a rare snowfall scene in Texas showing a homestead with warm lights showing through the windows, with leaves on the big tree shading the home, cactus plants growing all around and snowfall on the gorund and rooftop. Most collectors of Texas painters gravitate toward acquiring landscape paintings featuring bluebonnets abloom in fields. At 12" x 16" this is also a relatively small sized image compared to the majority of his canvases that have sold. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
