In Orthodox Christian art, the depiction of Saint George Slaying the Dragon is one of the most iconic and symbolic representations of the saint. It illustrates Saint George's victory over evil, embodied by the dragon, and is rich in theological and cultural significance. In some icons, such as this example, an angel or the figure of Christ is shown above, bestowing a blessing or holding a crown of victory, emphasizing Saint George's divine commission and spiritual reward.
The label on the back also identifies this as a 20th Century copy of a 19th Century icon. While I'm not finding any record of the Januax Frejtak workshop, comparably sized 20th Century St George icon replicas usually sell for between $300-500.
