It is rectangular, unmarked anywhere (including on the back) painted ceramic dish that was hung on the wall with an attached wire. It is bordered in gold paint mimicking a bamboo frame. It is in excellent condition and very well painted. Measures 8.5 inches wide by 11 Inches tall. It is approximately 1.5 inches deep. It could definitely function as a dish or tray
