Round Ink and Calligraphy. Two sheets glued together with burn marks. Approximately 62cm in diameter.
Purchased in 1996 directly from the artist, Wang Tiande in Shanghai. Signed on back in pencil and dated. Have his business card - he was then the Vice Professor at the Art Center Fudan University.

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a painting by Shanghai artist Wang Tian De 王天德. Wang Tiande studied at the Shanghai Institute of Arts and Crafts in 1978 and graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. He is currently is an associate professor at Fudan University Art Education Center.
The painting in your possession is fully signed and the provenance adds to the value. The estimate is based on similar paintings from the same year and same size ( 95 cm in diameter ?) sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade and results in chinese auctions can be higher and vary.
