Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and description provided, the subject of this appraisal is a subset of a stamp collection consisting of 22 full and partial plate blocks of United States postage stamps. The bulk of the collection comes from the 1950s.
According to the current owner, the collection was acquired via inheritance. Concerning this particular subset of the inherited collection, these pieces are generally well organized. Unfortunately the stamp blocks in this subset of the collection have book values of approximately $1 to $2 each block, with the exception of the Iwo Jima stamps which would have a value of $3 to $5.
In consideration of the factors noted, a Fair Market Value (pre-auction estimate) of this portion of the collection examined would be estimated at $25 to $50.
