16 used post marked 1930 Green Benjamin Franklin stamps still attached to each other, 12 vertical perforations & 11 horizontal perforations per-stamp
4.25 x 4.0625
I acquired these stamps from a friend that no longer wanted to keep her father and uncle's stamp collection. I have photos of the above mentioned stamps if you would like for me to email you. I would like to know if they have any value, modest or otherwise. Thanks
Hi Brian,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Benjamin Franklin 1-cent green stamps were among the most common stamps issued between 1922-1938 but only that have 11 perforations both vertically AND horizontally are worth money, and even those lose considerable value when cancelled.
Based on the information here (https://www.linns.com/news/us-stamps-postal-history/2015/january/is-your-1-green-franklin-stamp-scott-594-or-596.html) and compared to YOUR photos, this partial sheet of 1930 cancelled green 1-cent Benjamin Franklin stamps looks to be has a nominal value, at less than $1 per stamp.
CONDITION: cancelled
PROVENANCE: gift from a friend
$8-12 for the partial sheet*
