Hi Matan,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This autographed poster from Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night, featuring characters from the series and signatures. The hand-written text includes messages like "ありがとうございます♡ 楽しんで下さい!" (Thank you very much! Please enjoy!), and "よろしくな!" (Nice to meet you!).
Sword Art Online is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. The story is set in a near-future virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online, where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called Nerve Gear.
Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night is a 2022 animated science fiction adventure film based on the light novel series and is a sequel to the 2021 film Sword Art Online: Progressive – Aria of a Starless Night. The movie retells the original Sword Art Online timeline from Asuna's point of view. The film features Asuna and Kirito as they continue their journey to clear the floors of Aincrad
These do not have much of a following yet at auction because they are too new, and typically retail for between $20-25, though having original autographs - as opposed to facsimile or print ones - boosts its value to $100-150.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.

Hi Matan,
I've found other posters with similar inscriptions that aren't hand-written but rather facsimile/printed signatures, suggesting that may be the case with the inscriptions here. It looks like that from these photos but if you can provide clear photos showing these were hand-written - and will attest to that - yes, the value would be more.
Looking forward to refining the value if warranted,
Delia
Hi Delia,
Where can I send pictures that it is indeed handwritten
And how much do you think the value can increase?
Best regards,
Matan
Hi Matan,
You should be able to attach additional photos to this appraisal, but you can also send them to [email protected] but make sure you reference this appraisal.
The value could be as much as $100-150, but I'll need to see photos first before I update the appraisal.
Thanks!
Hi Dalia,
I added more pictures of just the signatures. You can really see the strokes of the pen and marker on the poster. I hope it's correct.
Hi Matan,
It's really hard to tell from the photos but it's unlikely you'd be able to take images at sufficient magnification to tell if the signatures are machine-manufactured or hand-inked. I've given this the benefit of the doubt and increased its value.
Dear Delia,
Thank you very much for your evaluation and the detailed information provided.
I wanted to inquire further considering that the poster is autographed with personalized Japanese messages and explicitly marked as "Not for Sale," I was wondering why its estimated value is still in the $20–25 range. Wouldn’t such unique features typically increase its collectible value?
I would greatly appreciate any further insights you could share.
Best regards,
Matan
